They were the youngest couple of the year. 21 years old, both of them, and that's all you need to know to understand the energy of that day.
Vilde knew exactly what she wanted. The details were planned. The group photos had an order. The bouquet flowers weren't randomly chosen. And Thomas, he went along, smiled, and seemed to think most of it was pretty great.
The portraits were taken by a red wooden bridge and along an old tree-lined avenue nearby. There's something about being 21 and summer light that makes pictures almost take themselves.
The ceremony took place at Drammen church, a room that needs little help from the photographer. High ceilings, red brick pillars and an altarpiece that fills the wall. Vilde walked down the aisle with family on both sides. Thomas stood and waited.
The party afterward was at Spiralen. It was the first alcohol-free wedding I've photographed. I didn't notice. People laughed, gave speeches and danced just as much as they usually do.
